The Benevolent Bloom is a social enterprise on a mission!

Our mission is providing quality, affordable, organic produce and beautiful cut flowers from our local, small, and sustainable, family garden to our customers with profits going toward launching and operating our very own farm animal sanctuary.

Our vision is a more beautiful, peaceful, and sustainable community where every human being has access to fresh, local organic food, and all animals are cherished, respected, and live free from exploitation.

Why The Benevolent Bloom?

Our Principles & Values

Lead With Love

As mere tenants and caretakers of this planet for a short period of time, we firmly believe in doing our best to leave it all better than how we found it. That makes us view each decision we make through a lens of love. From the soil we work to the produce we grow to the farm animals we hope to rescue and care for in the not too distant future, this principle guides each and every decision we make.

Take Care

This coincides with our first core principle, “Lead With Love.” We believe in taking care of our planet, one another, and ourselves, because we all do better when we all do better, and this core value can ensure that winds up being the case with every case.

Embrace The Happy Accidents & Mistakes

Being relatively new to gardening/farming on the scale that we are aiming for is surely going to come with some growing pains, and we are here to embrace the suck, and roll with the punches as they come. We lean into this value in order to remind ourselves that, to quote Rise Against “Despite the overwhelming odds, tomorrow came.” We do our best, we learn, we grow, we do good.

Inclusivity & Access

We believe that everyone should have access to organic, healthy foods, and beautiful things like cut flowers regardless of socioeconomics or zip code. In order to fully live into this value, we plan on doing our very best to ensure our price points are accessible, and as we grow, working to get into locations where more and more folks can enjoy these wares. This principle also requires us to utilize our agency to work to aid in dismantling systemic barriers for others looking to grow their own food, as well.

A long time ago, there were two punks who liked the earth, animals, plants, and social justice. Fast forward to when the two of them crossed paths, and wound up liking each other a whole lot, too. So much so that they fell in love, and began crafting a plan to combine their shared values and dreams into a reality.

That reality is The Benevolent Bloom; a boot-strapped, sustainable social enterprise farm. Launched on leased land from the Cuyahoga County Land Bank with a mission of providing beautiful, cut flowers and organically grown fruits and veggies at inclusive and affordable prices with profits going toward opening their very own farm animal sanctuary.
